Why is everybody always complaining about the number of vacations that Obama takes?

I want him to take all the vacations he can, I think he is due for another one right now. In fact if we wants to take the next two years off that would be fine with me.

Our economy is in the tank and our leader is on TV on vacation all the time. Doesn’t that seem a little ridiculous?

You hear about asylum seeker boats being intercepted off the coast of Australia almost every week, but how many are estimated to get to Australia undetected?

None, basically. It’s next to impossible to bypass the Royal Australian Navy, not to mention that landing on our north coast without a prepared connections is just suicidal. You’ll either be in the desert, hundreds of kilometres from the nearest town (or even road), or in the rainforest, which is just crawling with crocodiles and other things looking to kill you. Or in Darwin, which… let’s face it, is hardly more bearable.

Asylum seekers don’t want to get by undetected, they want to be picked up and get onto our soil so they can officially file for asylum. There is a difference between asylum seekers and illegal immigrants.

I have just seen a photo of Mr. Obama in today’s paper arriving at Martha’s Vineyard. Didn’t he just go to the Gulf one or two weeks ago? Does he think that life of a president is a Pleasantville with never ending vacations?

Most of us have two weeks of vacations, unless we work longer in a company. How many days of vacations does USA President have?

& did you also miss that BHO, the dog, has to travel separately from them because they don`t have room for him?

I am going with 4 friends and would like to stay at a nice place and one that is close to most things. If you are familiar with time share resorts in the area —please make suggestion. Thanks.

It depends what you are looking for in your accommodations. I’m assuming that you are going to try to exchange to the location.

I’d suggest the Mardi Gras Manor, the Courtyards or the Wyndham La Belle Maison. The Wyndham is more of a higher end resort. The Courtyards is rather small and quaint and may not accommodate all five of you well.

I’d suggest that you go to the RCI directory and take a look.

Every time I get on Yahoo! I see something about yet another vacation.. Are they taking advantage of the fact that they are only going to be millionaires for a short time? Looking into time share ownership. I think I’m leaning to buy in the secondary market…Who finances these the owners? What are some good timeshares and bad ones? Do they all have upkeep fee’s? Tell all if you know all! Personal experience’s welcome and wanted!

Even if you do not need to pay an upfront cost for a timeshare, timeshares are rarely a good purchase.

1) Maintenance fees rise consistently over time while the property ages and grows less valuable.
2) Timeshare contracts are VERY long term, obligating you to pay for something whether you use it or not.
3) Sometimes it’s cheaper to rent a timeshare than own. Resorts want people to come to their presentations at the resorts and incentivize them with low-cost vacation accommodations.
4) If there’s a need, timeshares can issue special assessments for repairs, emergencies, covering owner expenses, etc. These bills can range from hundreds of dollars to even thousands of dollars
5) Timeshares are extremely difficult to get rid of. With the amount of inventory out there and not many buyers, the economics of getting out of a timeshare does not pan out.

Rent first if you want to learn about timesharing.

They are almost never in the House or Senate chambers. Usually on the phone in their office asking people for campaign donations to get re-elected, and usually only come out into the chamber to vote or make a speech about their city / town’s championship YMCA softball team. Utter nonsense, considering their paychecks.

They also only work 4 day weeks, and work about 35 weeks per year, when you count all the vacations.

They are the ruling class. The ruling class gets what it wants. It’s that simple.

I think I remember reading about some company out there that organizes cruises on a viking ship and you actually live like a viking while you’re on board. Can anyone provide me with information?

Viking Cruise Lines actually offers cruises on Viking Ships (since they are theirs)
