This isnt a pro football player or a hollywood actor. This is the President of the United States. Yes he has not taken as many vacations as Bush but didnt Barack promise change? In one of Baracks speeches he made it a point to say that he would not use tax payers money to take vacations in a private jet like previous Presidents. So whats so different now?
References :
You're right, Bush has him beat 3:1.

"This is Mr. Obama's 9th vacation since taking office. As of today, he has spent all or part of 38 days on "vacation" away from the White House. He has also made 14 visits to Camp David spanning all or part of 32 days. It brings his total time away to all or part of 70 days.

"It's less than the "vacation" time taken during the same period by his immediate predecessor. (Former President George W. Bush gets the quotation marks too.)

"As of this point in his 1st term, Mr. Bush had made 14 visits to his Texas ranch spanning all or part of 102 days. He also made 40 visits to Camp David spanning all or part of 123 days. His "vacation" total at this point in his presidency was all or part of 225 days away."

It is impossible to know how many are undetected because they are undetected.
References :
None, basically. It's next to impossible to bypass the Royal Australian Navy, not to mention that landing on our north coast without a prepared connections is just suicidal. You'll either be in the desert, hundreds of kilometres from the nearest town (or even road), or in the rainforest, which is just crawling with crocodiles and other things looking to kill you. Or in Darwin, which... let's face it, is hardly more bearable.

Asylum seekers don't want to get by undetected, they want to be picked up and get onto our soil so they can officially file for asylum. There is a difference between asylum seekers and illegal immigrants.
References :
Bush spent 487 days on vacation at Camp David, and 490 days at his ranch. Using simple math, that's 977 vacation days out of 2920 as president, or 34%.

As of today, Obama has spent all or part of 38 days on "vacation" away from the White House. He has also been to camp David 32 days, for a total of 70. It brings his total time away to all or part of 70 days. The total number of days between Tuesday, January 20th, 2009 and today, Friday, August 20th, 2010 is 577 days, or 12%.

Sorry I am so far down on the answer list, but I actually looked this up.
