What can you advise me in renting my time share weeks?

May 28, 2010 - 12:36 am 2 Comments

A company contact me about rent my time share week on an Orlando Florida Resort, I am concerned about being scammed because they explain I have to paid an insurance fees in order to cover any damages when the property is rented. Please help me out … I dont want to miss anything. Please help me… Thanks in advance!

You shouldn’t have to pay an insurance fee, especially upfront. To be sure call the resort or read your timeshare contract on the renting procedures.

If you want to rent your timeshare, go with known companies that can advertise for you like redweek.com, sellmytimesharenow.com, and tstoday.com. You’ll pay a small listing fee and perhaps a membership fee, but you’ll get loads of advice on those sites as well as people looking to rent.

What happens if you need to cancel your time share vacation?

May 18, 2010 - 2:16 pm 3 Comments

Due to an unfortunate accident I wont be able to go with my friend on her time share vacation she got from her parents. If she cant find someone to go with her what happens if she has to cancel? Will she be able to use it another time or is it gone for good?

IT TOTALLY DEPENDS ON THE TERMS & CONDITIONS SPECIFIED IN THE CERTAIN DEAL THAT YOUR FRIEND’S PARENTS HAVE OPTED FOR… IN MOST CASES YOU CAN CANCEL AND TAKE AGAIN LATER BUT AGAIN IT VARIES FROM COMPANY TO COMPANY WHICH OFFER SUCH SCHEMES…

How long would it have taken the boats and slaves to reach the sugar plantations sailing the middle passage?

How long would it have taken the boats carrying 500 slaves sailing the middle passage from africa to the sugar plantations duringthe slave trade around the 1700s?

Turn around to Europe of the boats from North America was measured [then] to be six months. This, depending on the weather conditions, weight and also other external factors [e.g pirates along the way & militia]

Does time share consider first time property?

May 12, 2010 - 12:45 pm 2 Comments

I own a Hilton time share and now I am thinking to buy a house, I wonder if I still qualify as first time property owner and get advantage of the benefits.

Yes you will qualify because you don’t OWN the timeshare itself, you own ONLY the time, not the place. A timeshare is NEVER considered a home. Make sense?

How would the US navy counter Iranian swarms of speed boats?

May 9, 2010 - 9:01 am 20 Comments

Given the recent Iranian provocation of the US Navy with speed boats, what is the likley US navy response if they got too close? IM guessing that even if Iran sent 100’s of these small boats the US navy would just machine gun them away. Surely the Iranians dont think they could succeed in blowing up a US Navy warship?

I have been in this situation before on a destroyer. All I can say is that all ships have heavy caliber machine guns manned 24/7 in the gulf. Where that incident occurred the ships were at, they’re normally at the highest level of defensive readiness. I have personally manned a gun mount in that area of the world and with out getting into specifics it’s dependent on proximity, visual cues of threat (weapons, persons, and actions), and rules of engagement due to real world intelligence. The US Navy normally practices engaging that kind of contact. If you want to know how bad we could f#@K them up I’ll tell you this… 1 billion dollar destroyer/ cruiser vs a speed boat… who wins??? Rambo’s M-60 is pretty effective against that threat and there’s a few of those on deck when we’re there and that’s one of the lightest weapons on deck. Pretty much those retards were looking brave for the cameras because if they were a real threat they’d be sucking di#@s in hell.

Has anyone gone on a time share tour to win a "free vacation trip"?

May 9, 2010 - 9:01 am 2 Comments

We received a card in the mail and upon calling were told to attend a time share tour in Lee, Mass. After completing the tour we are supposedly able to get a trip to Vegas or Orlando. My husband believes it. I don’t.

Yeah I did that once when I was 18. They do give you a trip but they are relentless about getting you to buy a timeshare. I think it is a wast of time unless you like being pitched at for a sale all day long.

how do you create a time share? Is their much profit in it?

May 5, 2010 - 3:32 pm 2 Comments

I would like to buy a cabin, and turn it into a time share.

The profit is huge in a a timeshare company but you will need at least 20 or 30 units not just one, nobody would buy it because you will not be able to offer the extended benefits.
Your first move is to actually learn how timeshares work, and also what is the usual timeshare sales person pitch, that will give you a better idea.
If you decide to buy 20 or 30 cabins let me know, I can show you what is the step # 2.

Your green sidelight must be visible to boats approaching from which direction?

You are operating a powerboat at night. Your green sidelight must be visible to boats approaching from which direction?

The arc of visibility of the side light is from dead ahead to 22.5 degrees abaft the beam. (112.5 Degrees) The direction will be relative to your vessels heading.

Good Luck – Boat Safe!
