Is it true that you can great last minute deals on cruises?

February 28, 2010 - 8:51 am 9 Comments

I’ve heard that you can get great last minute deals on cruises if you are in town the day before or the day of departure.
A) Is it true?
B) Are there any websites or newspapers that you can find information about the deals?

In the old days you could but not since 911 happened, you can’t Cruise ships must have a passenger list 72 hours before the departure of a cruise ship. It is a homeland security rule now. So any cruise less then 5 days from now d is not possible to get on board at the last minute. But for more then 72 hours and last minute cruise deals check into "vacations to go" and click on their 90 day ticker. These are all the cruise that still have cabins for the next 90 days.

Why am i so fascinated by boats they rock is it becuase Im a nature person?

February 28, 2010 - 8:51 am 5 Comments

What qualities do you think a person who Like baots might have in their soul and what other new things do you think a persobn whio like boats might like as well?

I think that people who like boats are looking for peace in their lives, and can find it in nature and in the simple things of life. People who like boats probably appreciate nature, hiking, exploring, travelling, having simple adventures. We may be fascinated by the rocking of boats because in some kind of mysterious way it takes us back to even before we were born, and the rocking in the womb.

Tax question regarding a time share?

February 28, 2010 - 8:51 am 2 Comments

I would like to donate a time share we never use to a charity auction. Does anyone know how that works? And what kind of tax credit do we get for something like that?

They may not accept it at all, they have annual fees that are the reason people sell them cheap. Sell it and donate the money and you can write that off as an itemized deduction. If they can sell it you can deduct what they get for it like when you donate a used vehicle.

How can I practise skiing when I live in a part of Australia where snow is 10 hours away?

Okay, yes this came to mind while watching the Olympics, I want to practise skiing but there is absolutly NO snow close to me, theres sand, sand, and more sand. So has anyone got any ideas?

In line skating uses similar muscles to skiing and has the same edge to edge concept as skiing. Or there are things called Skiers Edge that replicate the movements of skiing. http://www.skiersedge.com/

Is it normat that my psychotherapist takes extended vacations in Christmas, Easter and Summer?

February 28, 2010 - 8:51 am 1 Comment

While I was in the middle of a therapy, my therapist said that its was about Christmas and had to leave for Cyprus to enjoy the days with her parents.

If she is entitled to take extended vacations in Christmas, Easter and summer,

a. Why shouldn’t I have the same rights to leave therapy for equal number of months for my personal reasons?

b. Why shouldn’t I have an alternative months during which I should feel the therapist’s presence and role?

Last I heard, a person has the right to work or not, as s/he wishes. (Of course s/he runs the risk that the work will disappear.)

You have the right to acquire and dismiss therapists as you wish. I believe a therapist has a corresponding right to accept or decline patients.

Unless you have been involuntarily committed, you have the right to leave therapy.

Question (b) is not quite coherent.

Bottom line:
There are many more therapists than would-be patients. Unless you are extremely wealthy, you’d be wise to be grateful for what you’re getting.

I heard i can deduct my vacations to vegas on my taxes?

February 25, 2010 - 6:45 am 3 Comments

My big brother Micky told me i can deduct my vegas vacations. Micky said he did it when he went to Barbados. His rational is if you answer blackberry pages, send emails or cell calls its deductable because you are using this trip for vacation purposes. The total cost of my vegas vacations is around 12k this year

You and your big brother are playing with fire. From the information that you have indicated in your question, and I see no way possible on how you would even think your Vegas trip is deductible. You mess with Uncle Sam’s money and Uncle Sam will mess with you. How can you prove this trip to be business related (deductible)? I hope you two get audited.
