What is the difference between wheel chair accessible cabins on cruises and non-wheel chair accessible?
My partner and I are not handicap and I have been assigned a room that is wheel chair accessible.
Can I ask the cruise line to change the room? Or it is not that bad?

My family has gone on 2 Royal Caribbean cruises with my father who is an wheelchair.

Here are some additions to the wheel chair rooms:
-generally larger. RC wheel chair rooms are actually 50% bigger than normal cabins. They take 3 regular rooms and make 2 (trust me…you can see the wall divisions!)
-Balcony rooms have a little ramp out to the balcony for easy access.
-the bathrooms are much larger and the showers are wheel-in.

Now, I am EXTREMELY surprised you go a wheel chair room if you are not disabled. Royal Caribbean requires anyone booking a wheelchair room to submit a letter from a physician stating that it is required. They do this because the wheel chair rooms are much larger than the same class non-wheel chair accessible rooms but cost the same. So of course if they didn’t require the proof everyone would be booking them for the space.

Anyway, If you have a moral conscience, then you may want to tell the cruise line so that the room could be made available to someone who really needs it…but hey, sometimes it’s nice to get something you weren’t expecting!

I want to know what the main differences in the types of boats are, as in operation, handling, turning quickness, etc. Also I want to know which type is best for crabbing? I thought flat bottom but I am not sure. I wanted a boat to do crabbing, fishing, and some just cruising with friends. Anybody have any suggestions?

It depends on what type of water you are going in flat bottoms are not very stable V’s handle ruff water well and semi v’s are very stable for crabbing I would go with your standard center console deep v

Will be meeting with timeshare rescue to discuss selling my time share in Virginia. Anyone has done business with this company?

It seems like is one of those companies that ask you for money upfront and I have never seen one that works. They Will just take your money and disappear. If you want to let go of your timeshare then donation might be for you.

As the title states, how far ahead do you personally begin to start planning and booking your vacations? Do you book as early as a year ahead, or more like 6 months?

Often much shorter times like a week or less. I take a lot of short trips on weekends and generally don’t do a lot of advance planning. Some weekends when I’m just going out exploring here in Italy, I decide where I’m going for the weekend on Saturday morning when I check the weather and head for the train station. For longer trips like going back to the US, maybe I’ll book things at most a month in advance.
